Summary. You can delete your AI Smart Scanner account at any time — from
inside the app, or by emailing us. Signing in is optional in AI Smart Scanner, so you only
have an account if you chose to sign in with Google or Apple. Your scanned documents live
on your device, not on our servers, so deleting your account does not remove them unless
you ask us to.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open AI Smart Scanner.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- In the account card at the top, tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, optionally tick “Also delete all documents on this
device”, then confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email
maafcoders@gmail.com
with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address you
signed in with. We use that address to verify the request. We will confirm once
your account has been deleted, normally within 30 days.
3. What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account — the account identifier, email address and name
held in Google Firebase Authentication.
- Any promotional (redeem) codes you used, and the record linking them
to your account.
- Your subscription customer record held by our billing provider
(RevenueCat).
4. What is kept, and why
- Documents on your device — your scans, PDFs, signatures and Secure
Folder stay on your device unless you tick the option in the app. They are stored
locally and we never receive a copy. You can also delete them in the app, or by
uninstalling it.
- Cloud backups in your own account — if you connected Google Drive or
Dropbox, those files are in your cloud storage. Delete them there.
- Billing and tax records — Google Play and our billing provider retain
transaction records for the period required by law. We cannot delete those.
Important — subscriptions. Deleting your account does not
cancel an active subscription, and Google Play will keep billing you. Cancel it first in
Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions (or via Manage subscription
in the app). Only the store can cancel a store subscription.
5. After deletion
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Any promotional Pro access tied to the
account is lost. If you sign in again later, a brand-new account is created — it will not
restore the deleted one. A paid subscription that is still active can be restored to the new
account with Restore Purchase.
