These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AI Smart Scanner mobile application ("App", "Service"), provided by MAFCoders ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Description of the Service

AI Smart Scanner lets you scan documents, extract text (OCR), organize and search files, view and edit documents, create and edit PDFs, apply electronic signatures, use optional AI-powered features, and optionally back up files to your own cloud storage. Documents are stored on your device by default. The free version is supported by ads; an optional paid Pro subscription removes ads and usage limits. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

Sign-in via Google or Apple is optional and is used primarily to link and restore your subscription across devices and reinstalls. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and for all activity under it, and for notifying us of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds

• The App offers a free, ad-supported tier with periodic usage limits, and paid Pro plans (monthly and yearly) that remove ads and usage limits.
• Billing. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Payment is charged upon confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep Pro access until then. Subscriptions cannot be cancelled from within the App — this is a platform requirement.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we do not process payments directly and generally cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• Promotional codes. We may grant promotional Pro access via redeem codes. Such access may be time-limited and may be revoked or expire; promotional access has no cash value.
• Price changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, only after notice and your consent.

6. Free Tier, Ads, and Usage Limits

The free version is supported by ads and may be subject to periodic usage limits (for example, a weekly number of scans, text extractions, and AI actions). Where a limit is reached, you may be offered the option to watch a rewarded ad to continue, or to subscribe to Pro. Some features may be available only to Pro subscribers. A paid Pro subscription removes all ads and usage limits. These limits and offers are described in the App and may be adjusted over time.

7. Advertising

The free version of the App displays ads via Google AdMob. Some ads are rewarded — you may choose to watch one to unlock additional usage; you are never required to. A paid Pro subscription removes all ads. You must not interact with ads fraudulently, or attempt to block, tamper with, or manipulate the App's ads, consent prompts, or usage limits. Your advertising choices and the data involved are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents and content you create, scan, or store with the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for Your Content, for the rights to process it, and for maintaining your own backups. To provide a feature you invoke (for example, sending text or images to an AI service, or uploading to your own cloud), you authorize the App and the relevant processor to process Your Content solely for that purpose.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose or to process content you have no right to process; scan, upload, or generate content that is illegal, infringing, or violates others' rights or privacy; reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent usage limits, ads, security, or licensing of the App; resell or commercially exploit the App except as permitted; or interfere with the App or the third-party services it relies on.

Text recognition (OCR) and electronic signatures are provided as tools and may not be accurate or legally sufficient for every purpose. You are responsible for ensuring that any electronic signature you apply is valid and appropriate for your intended use and jurisdiction.

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services (including Google/Firebase, Google Gemini, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, the Apple App Store, Google Play, and — if you connect them — Google Drive and Dropbox). Your use of these features is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

13. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, trademarks, and branding, is owned by MAFCoders and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or internal business use. No other rights are granted.

14. Notifications

The App may send push and local notifications (such as subscription reminders and product announcements). You can control notifications through your device settings.

15. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OCR/AI RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE. Keep your own backups of important documents.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAFCoders WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MAFCoders from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the App, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

18. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8 and 13–17) will survive.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory rights available to you under local law, disputes will be subject to the courts of Pakistan.
